In traditional teaching, the teacher is the content expert—the one delivering knowledge in a linear fashion. In a phenomenon-based classroom, the teacher becomes a guide, a facilitator of curiosity, and sometimes even a fellow investigator.

This can feel uncomfortable at first. It means:

  • You may not have all the answers right away—and that’s okay.

  • You’ll be modeling how to ask questions, not just how to answer them.
